Here is a method recently posted on TMP:
“Start with Camel colored felt. DO NOT USE BAIZE as some have recommended. Baize is really expensive and does not have a knap [sic].
Using a Wagner Power Spray Paint Gun hit the fabric with paint sprayed at about 4-5 feet. DO NOT cover uniformly. Also don’t put it on too thick.
The paint will adhere to the knap [sic] and does not penetrate the fabric. This is really great because you can paint one side in a grassy green motif and the other side as desert terrain.”
We have a lot of very talented gamers in HMGS/PSW and we are going to start making our own video shorts showcasing their work and how to articles. This is the first one done with Frank Paterson at the monthly St Crispins meet. The video was quickly done by Bill Witthans. I hope to do a lot of these and eventually have a whole section devoted to them. If you have one you would like to do or would liked placed here please let us know!
Here is an excellent idea for making terrain, that I had to test myself first. It works — pastels do wash out, and the results look very good, especially with smaller scales.
