Archive for the ‘Bloviating’ Category
Checked the website and you think “oh no new post, I’ve seen this already” “click” and your off to somewhere else. Hold on! think again, pages are being added, archived, or changed often and it’s worth a few moments to check the content around the site to make sure you’ve not missed anything. The post here are always moving down as people post new content, check the Archives area in the lower right sidebar area where it is categorized by month. Also the current months older post are found by clicking on “older post” at the bottom of the current post page. This is a powerful website that works best when you learn it and use it, just like a rule set!
I saw one comment on the gallery page that commented “where are they” have a feeling the poster missed the drop down menu pointing to the other galleries…
We also need you guys to take a couple of minutes to post stuff upload pictures, do a “how too”, we need to have more participation here. I see people announce games and game days but rarely see the after action report on how it went with a few pictures of the events or even video! we have the easy technology here to do this. You want people, show them what their missing!

Some people have mentioned that this page is a bit to “warlike” and in an attempt to soften it up for the gentler folks visiting us I have put up some puppies sired by my dog. No, they were not painted by me and I think they are available from “Old Glory” in 25mm (closer to 28mm if you ask me)
One of the great things about social media is getting back in touch with old friends — including wargaming friends. The Bengal Club recently created a page on Facebook to report our games, invite members to events, and basically keep in touch. We’ve also created a FB page for HMGS/PSW, and hopefully we’ll soon be able to automatically update it from this site.
If your club has a Facebook page, share it with the rest of HMGS either by posting it to the Yahoo list or commenting on this post — let’s expand our internet community!
I have added a hit counter to the site and if you have wondered what those blue “G” icons were in your comment box they are Avatars or pictures to personalize your comments. You can upload you own picture if you like by going and uploading on at www.gravatar.com its free, and very easy. I did, look at my comment on this post now.
